Welcome to heat staking machines

  • Part of the appeal of heat staking machines is that they offer the ability to perform multiple operations on several planes simultaneously. Heatstaking machines are able to achieve this ability because their heated tooling makes direct contact with the part and time, temperature, pressure and cooling is precisely controlled.
  • Because of the fact that heatstaking machines are able to perform multiple plane operations; cycle times are relatively fast and productivity can be increased through the assembly of multiple products.
  • Fast cycle times, increased productivity and cosmetics so exceptional that heatstaking appears to be an extension of the molding process make heat staking worth checking out.

Heat Staking

  • Involves the controlled flow of molten plastic to capture or retain another component, usually of a different material.
  • Heatstaking machines are beneficial when joining two parts that consist of different material which cannot normally be ultrasonically welded. Heatstakers are also a cost effective way to bond when simple mechanical retention of one part to another is adequate (as opposed to molecular bonding).
